Have you looked at Swift? Before you scoff go look at their benefit package. the medical looks ok to me. You can get 90% paid after the deduct. Don't know about miles per week.

Answer:
What about Marten Transport. They run all over but I don't know about the hometime other than 1.5 days off for every 5 out.
Priority might be another

Answer:
Overnite in Waynesboro has an ad in this morning paper for 1 full time & 1 part time local driver. You could do yourself a favor if you were sitting on the door steps first thing Monday morning.

Answer:
nocount,
that would be worth a shot but still employed at shaffer now and under dispatch theyre not good here at extra time off.....
i always get scared at the ltl companies seems like your mostly a dock worker sometimes with a little driving til you work your way up.
didnt overnite just get bought out by another company???
i had narrowed down to abilene, mgm, kllm, or witte but abilene said too many points on license and seems on lots of the sites hear bad stuff about kllm.
i did just apply online at marten too, and even considered j.b. hunt again since they do have great benefits, just scared of the miles cause when i was there 6 years ago there wasn't many.I'm in love with my sweet angel Cindy !!!!!

Answer:

In our experience that narrows it down a little. Not many companies that have long runs to all parts of the country for solos and can have you home 14 days or less.
Thats why Hubby chose CFI, long runs to all parts of the country including the Western part. Gotta stay out UP to 3 weeks but can request hometime on 14th day, sometimes you will get there almost immediately, occasionally you will be out until the 7th day. If you are they pay your deadhead home.
Of the ones already mentioned, Marten might be a possibility. Swift will get you home every 10-14 days but in our past experience it sometimes took staying out longer than that to get West runs with them.
What about Celadon? I dont know what their home policy is however.
If you wanted to run East of the Mississippi and still get some miles and be home every week you might try Epes Transport out of Greensboro, NC. Have heard good things about them but they seem to be pretty strict about driver qualifications. For instance, no drug related conviction even a misdemeanor EVER.
Answer:
thanks for the responses so far.....
on long runs just want to be a possibility, im so sick and tired of the northeast, i dont expect to run coast to coast all the time like teams just more than just the little dinky 400-500 mile runs.
i did talk to bunch of diff. recruiters, and believe J.B., and KLLM said you could run anywhere...I'm in love with my sweet angel Cindy !!!!!

Answer:
Since your looking mainly at bigger carriers. One that use to run alot of east/west loads and guarantees home every 2 weeks with a good medical plan is SRT. The last drivers i talked with a couple months ago said they still get the miles. You might give them a shout.
When i was with them, only a short while, all I did was east coast to west coast with a short in the middle load every now and then to get you to another long run. They did have some deal with covenant but that was paid off so their on their own again. It was a good atmosphere also. They held true to their 2 week home time guarantee.
