By now some of you may have heard about the annual "72hr Safety Check".
Just as a reminder, the list below is a few of the items that will be checked.
Drvr's Lic: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 3
Medical Card: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 3
LogBook: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 3
SeatBelt: Inspection Levels=1, 2, 3 & 5
Vehicle Inspection Report: Inspection Levels= 1, 2, 3 & 5
Brake System: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Coupling System: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Exhaust System: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Frame: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Fuel System: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Lights: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Cargo/Load Securement: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Steering Mechanism: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Suspension: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Tires/Wheels/Rims/Hubs: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
Windshield Wipers: Inspection Levels= 1, 2 & 5
***If hauling Haz-Mat they will be checking to make sure all Haz-Mat requirements are met. ...Inspection Levels= 1, 2, 3 & 5
***If you pass a Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Inspection, then you'll be issued a CVSA Decal....Inspection Levels= 1 & 5

According to many of the past articles I've read.....it seems that Brakes & LogBooks are the Most Common Violations.

Although "RoadCheck 2005" is scheduled to start Tues. 7June - Thurs. 9June...it seems that every yr there are a few states/areas that start a day or two early.(so be Prepared at ALL times.)
On the other hand, there are a few states/areas that do not participate at all.(since we do not know which states/areas these are, it's best to ALWAYS Be PREPARED.)
