After the Denial of Employment...
Question:
Okay so. I don't get a nice crisp company uniform, I have the particulars applying to my eligibility criteria for employment and am interested if refining my search. When I am denied employment I understand I am eligible for a DAC report. If I ask them for one and they send me one, is it all-encompassing? Can I get a comprehensive one on-line or do I need USPS to to hold my hand? When I am denied employment with a company, I understand I can obtain a complete report on my personal information that they used in determining my eligibility for a job with them? or just criminal background check information? That way I could better prepare for/ refine my search for where I may fit. I'd be just right w/ about 50,000 miles, but I only have someone that I drove for from 9 years ago, in 1995, on my !0-year record, who isn't even in business anymore that I am aware of. I started driving in 1990. Maybe I would be better off applying as a second-seat driver for an independant O/O at an independant O/O website or something? Any comments? All this just so I can get that Big Picture. Answer: Here's their website: Dac Report Give them a call and I'm sure they'll be able to answer your questions. Answer: Thank you Phil. Answer: DAC told me anyone is entitled to a copy of their DAC report free of charge 1x a year any more than that and they charge you. I got mine for free and had to resolve some issues with it, but that's another story. Answer: I'm not sure what all good it's gonna exactly help me with, for them to tell me everything I've forgotten about myself, I guess, all that's left for me to know exactly is everything I've lost in the devastation of my tragic mishandling of personal records. I'd sure think if what I was telling these truck companies, to get hired for a life on the road, actually matched what they are gonna find out from DAC, that I'm the person that knows the secret handshake. Answer: You should get a copy of your DAC just for your own records as well as a copy of your MVR and all other info you might need on an application. As you have suggested it will help keep the story straight and give you a chance to prepare the correct answer to any problems that might be there. I've been looking a little and did just that. I don't like surprises. So all the answers on an app I might fill out match exactly what they will find. It is to bad that most companies will not tell you why they turned you down. That info would also be helpful. But unfortunatly they don't and lonly eave you guessing. Answer: My personal employment history accuracy is not guaranteed for it's accuracy in any sense of the word as from me and my own lameness on account of the tragic sheer innumerable and multivarious types of employment I've started and never finished for 39 years I've been alive. Every time my answer to "reason for leaving" is exactly the same; "interests elsewhere. " That is convenient for me, very very bad proffessionally perhaps for some maybe not others. I'm hoping to get DAC information uniformity. I THINK some carriers observe disclosure for reason of denial of employment and all information that determined that, DAC being the source or not of their source to rely on, you know, I've been pushing so hard get one of those big company umbrellas I'm afraid it may not rain for me for a little while anyway. It's just going to take a little more specialized searching to get hopping, that's it. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
