It's beginning to look like snow, so here are chain req
Question:
Although it is a general philosophy, "if it bad enough to throw chains, it's bad enough to park it," there are still those times when chains can't be avoided. Here are a couple sites for chain requirements: Chain placement and state by state requirements Chain Controls, Autos, Buses and Trucks ****************************** Answer: Originally posted by Retread (Rose): Although it is a general philosophy, "if it bad enough to throw chains, it's bad enough to park it," there are still those times when chains can't be avoided. Sure there can, Rose. It's called the "YOUR truck, MY life!" rule for company drivers, and "MY truck, MY life!" for O/O's. There's at least one company out there that has a policy that if you cannot maintain an average of 40mph (even with chains, but I don't think you can go that fast with chains anyway?) in inclement weather, to park it as you are not doing them any good going that slow. =============================== I'm not a truck driver, I'm a professional tourist!
