I was looking on the Wisconsin job service and read an ad for OTR Drivers/Finishing Program. It was for JB Hunt looking for drivers within 100 miles of Wisconsin cities Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay etc. It looks as though if your school is 6 weeks or longer JB will take you and put you with a trainer for 6 weeks. Does JB have that much freight coming in and out of wisconsin to start taking students? I know they were requiring 3 months of OTR experience before.

They have been doing a finishing program for a bit.
I was a finishing trainer.
The idea is to get a driver that has a CDL and some experiance with NO PROBLEMS OR COMPLAINTS.
They take the drive test and are graded on areas that need improvment.
They then go out with a finisher in a NON TEAM TRUCK. The idea is to hone this drivers skills to pass the normal drive test.
The ones I had had YEARS to just under the min for hire.of experiance but failed the drive test. Most were former auto-matic truck drivers. Got them out and they were done in about 1-2 weeks. They had the driving experiance, just could not drive a stick shift truck.
They have talked about going back to getting folks out of the schools. Former drivers and folks that have a CDL just not "over the road training".202 N Main Street

I was reading about that on another message board. The JB recruiter said it had to be a company paid school. They would not take someone that paid for their own training. They are looking at co's that hire newbies get them their CDL under contract to them.
