Swift's Pet Policy
Question:
Hi again!!! Can anyone tell me how strict Swift's pet policy is? I have 2 small doxies and according to them they only allow 1 pet. Thanks so much for your input!
Denise

Answer:
Swift's policies are just that Swift's policies. They do not seem to bend them for anyone. Also unless it has changed Swift does require a $500 damage/cleaning deposit if you want to have a pet on the truck.
I will always be a mutter trucker at heart.
Answer:
Whenever you go in for a PM you will have to put the dogs somewhere and if someone at the shop see's more than one dog and they take a mind to report it then thats when the trouble will start. But you could always buy a small airline type carrier and put them in there and cover it up with a blanket or something like that whenever you take it out of the truck.Where theres a will theres a way.Either way I doubt they would fire you for it.
Answer:
I do not know the fee or the limits on animal but it seems that in Swift, there are plenty of drivers that takes their pets with them. When I was in orientation last week and we use to take our breaks by the drivers lounge, there was always two or three drivers with their pets.

Answer:
U-Turn is right about the $500 deposit. They will tell you that you won`t get all of it back, cause they send the truck out for a complete cleaning and detail.I don`t know about two dogs, but i saw drivers with two small dogs, a couple of times.

Answer:
I saw a Swift driver with no less than 3 cats in his truck a while back - can't be that strict about it.

Answer:
I would'nt worry about it. Its not like anyone ever checks your truck. When in doubt play dumb. Believe me Swift drivers can get away with it. Cause there all newbies.
