Question:
Is Werner trucking owned by the same people as the company (Werner) that makes ladders?
My husband delivers aluminum to them quite often and he says it's the same owners.
Just wondering.

Here is a case that Newbies should pay attention to. I "heard" in most cases proves to be an
opinion not based on facts. If the links would've been looked at,the fact is,they are two different companies and not owned by the same family.
Most of the "I heard" stories you hear will be fiction rather than based on fact.

as a payment for debt in 1956 in the west. No mention of each other on websites. Main stockholders/financiers two different enities.

Hey Mike,
There is no mention of whether or not RD and CL Werner are related. The only real facts are that the ladder company has an international investment company as the major stock holder and the trucking outfit is a publicly owned and traded company here in the US. Who are the major stock holders of Werner truck? I am not sure, but I think we could find several names on the stock holder list whose last name is Werner.
I drove for Werner a few years ago. We did quite a bit of business with the ladder company. Sometimes I just wonder about who really controls what around this country.

I hear also that Kurt Werner of the ST. Louis Rams was related to both the trking and ladder people and that they had a major role in getting Kurt a try out with the Rams.
They gave him a ladder to climb out of the hole he was in and a trk to get to St.Louis.

No relation as far as I know. If they were, they'd flaunt their "synergy".
But it sure makes Werner Ladder look good - like they have their own private fleet. All the HomeDepots assume we driver for Werner Ladder -- and they must be impressed at with all those Werner trucks out there carrying ladders...that's a lot of ladders....must be good ones...
