What's Cartage and Drayage mean???
Question:
I've seen those two terms used a lot but I'm afraid I don't know what they mean in the trucking industry.
Can anyone explain them?

Answer:
The term "dray" is an old term referring to a low trailer (or wagon) used to haul heavy loads. It often referred to a wagon used to haul barrels of beer.
