Midwest Coast Transport
Question:
I've been thinking about going with Midwest Coast Transport (MCT) out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and I am curious about any information that may have been heard about them. Thank you for your time. Answer: There is a guy who posts often on the round table who drives for one of their O/O's. You might want to post this there as well. Answer: Although I've Never worked for them.....I've heard that they are a pretty good carrier. I used to drv for Action Carrier, Inc., located directly behind MCT & from what I could see, they put a Lot of emphasis on SAFETY.(they had a lot of "Drvr Appreciation" days also.) Other than that...all I know about them is that they are part of WSE/ComCar Industries. http://roundtable.truck.net/search.php?mode=results Answer: I did a quick search for 'MCT' here at TruckNet. Got 73 'hits'. Here they are. MCT search results Answer: Thank you for your advice and responses. I posted the same thing at another forum and all i recieved was roughly 60 views. And I will post this in the O/O forum as well. Answer: There a Refer outfit.Mostly mid west to east coast..Owner operators 100% NO COMPANY DRIVERS. But they'll help fit you with an owner operator who has multi trucks leased to them. Skull Answer: Skullitor where you been? How's your carreer going? Made your first million? Answer: Hi Rabe, YES, A MILLION "ORANGE NICKELS" Schneider.. I've been fine,You? I'll be here more often. Skull Answer: well,MCT is a 48 state based carrier, that pull dry van, reefer and Tanker for 3M,yes they are a o/o based company that also have fleets leased on to them,we haul anything that will fit on a 53 ft dry van or reefer, the school, from what i have heard is a fairly descent one, depending on where you live, you will either attend school in Sioux Falls SD or at my terminal in Wauseon Oh,they may have other schools, that are the only 2 i am aware of. I have been with MCT off and on for 14 years, they are your average company and you will get descent miles with them,i average anywhere between 2700-3300 miles a week. rothgar,if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me,i will be glad to help Answer: Well, roughly two weeks ago I went and got the fingerprints taken care of so now I am just waiting for the letter to come and have it either give me a thumbs up or a thumbs down. (Plus I've been re reading the cdl manual because just because I passed the tests I still need to keep the knowledge) But I see no problem with the clearance.
