Hello all, I am looking at getting back into the trucking business after being local for about a year. I talked to KB transportation and they have a regional run available of about 200 miles of a local IBP. Was wondering if anybody had any info on the company in general or about this regional run they are offering?

If that's the KB out of Sioux City Ia. I've never driven for them but have noted that for no more trucks than they run the papers are running constant ads for drivers. Something wrong there in my opinion.

Just my opinion, but unless you could get in writing that you'd be getting paid by the hour AND/OR doing 100% drop and hook, I'd stay away...far, far away!
There used to be a poster on here that went by KB Driver, but haven't heard or seen anything from him/her in a L-O-N-G time ?

The recent Pro Trucker mentions that they guarantee $800/wk (pay for 2500 miles) whether they are run or not. That applies to regional and national. I make no guarantees and can't say if they're good or not but they are a reefer company by a meat plant. Sounds like lots of 'hurry up and wait' and having to run 'hot' after getting loaded without time to spare.
Zigzag often posts the OOIDA list of an average earning for a driver of around $40k/year for OO's and company drivers alike so it sounds around average on the pay--assuming that some weeks you'll earn over $800 to make up for hometime.
