Question:
Well just had an accident this week. Make'n a left hand turn to go back the other direction. 3/4 of the way through the turn I hear 4/5 seconds of brakes n I knew this wasnt going to be a good thing. Jumped out the truck to see a car under the trl hit by the trl tandums. A legal turn, no tickets , no one was hurt. Car didnt need to be towed.
Going to get a safty review and 3 days off from work, SOP if you hit anything. A turn I have made 1000's of times before. Never seen where that car came from had no idea that he was there. Yes it was at night,about 3:30 am, and clear, so if nothing else you would think I would have seen head lights. Light to no traffic, far right lane was open dont know why he didnt go around me in the open lane. Had the turn signal on well before I was going to make the turn.
Frist one in 41/2 years out here on the road. Guess you could say no matter how many times you have done something dosent always mean its safe or that you can do it in a safe manner.

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Glad to see that no one was hurt. How did your 3 days off go, did you get to enjoy them? I guess no matter how hard we try or how careful we are some stupid person will make a stupid mistake.
Got to go to Atlanta tonight and how I dread it with the newsmen saying sleet and ice. I can just imagine how folks are going to be driving up there on a Friday night early Sat. morning. Sure hope people take their time and tread carefully.
