Just graduated the swift training program,head to orientation next week and off with a trainer.No complaints so far well see how training goes though.

Answer:
Just keep in mind that your time with the trainer is short. I have seen a lot of people wash out because they could not get along with their trainer. ...over the most stupid things, never the less.
Contary to what is bad-mouthed here about Swift, Swift does have a lot of good trainers. Here's hoping you get one.
Remember you are there to learn. What makes you a professional is not about that things never go wrong, it is about how you act when things do go wrong.

thanks driver J I have an open mind and as long as Im not asked to do anything illegal or unsafe I shouldnt have a problem in my eyes. What are some of the reasons drivers and there mentors dont get along. We had plenty that will probly have problems in our class couldnt follow instructions and ran there mouths to instructors not to mention talking on cell phones in class when told not to. I cant believe some passed.

Biggest problem with TRAINEE / TRAINERS is that the companies do not always pair them up properly.
You get Smoker / Non smokers , clean / tidy with not so clean and tidy for example and that starts things off on a bad foot.
Trainee brings too much or not enough stuff , same with $ .
Some trainees sit and never ask ?'s others never stop talking , some trainers will do the same .
If you luck out you might get a trainer that lives in the same area you do that way there is no hassles when it comes to home time.
All the best and as 1 other poster noted SWIFT is not as bad as picture some paint of it and they do have some great people working there and like all companies they have bottom dwellers as well.

Well Im aware of to much stuff not enuff money niether should be a problem.As far as smoker I am not but do not care,Im clean and believe the truck should be clean as it is your home on wheels. I will have questions,hope I can get answers hopefully the right ones This isnt a marriage only for 6 weeks so well see. Not gonna let the bad stories get me down about swift seems its about all training companies.Has anyone been to the swift terminal in Manteno IL? thats were Ill be based out of.

Trainers do, and yours will too, use your log book to best suit their needs (and cheating on logs is illeagal).
If you insist to your trainer that you "log it as you go", he will tell the company that you are uncooperative and ask for you to be removed from his truck.
