was to Mcallen Tx w/ 16 dumpster boxes, then to Houston for a load of steel, then back to Mead Ok. Houston @ rush hour is not fun, early evening in Dallas was no fun either. Working for small outfit, 16 trucks, mostly older equip, runs good, drives ok, spread axle step decks for trailers that dont turn very well!
The real world learning process has begun, the road test was pick up tractor @ repair shop, drive to plant & hook up trailer, road test done, did more paper work, drug test, next day I was working! 96' Freight shaker, 10 sp,detroit 60 series 12.7L, not governed! Far Out ! I still had fun!

Welcome to trucking Wizard. I think you will find that working for a small outfit is much better than toiling for the bigs.
Those trailers are not that easy to manuver, but as time goes on, you will get better at it.
