Answer:
You don't know that for sure flatrunner but I know OTR trucking sux. Worst job in America, hands down. If nobody cried you'd be tarping, lumping, doing extra stops, tailgating furniture for free and never getting home, bud.Whoa is me. Yup, put the brakes on the trucking crapola and haven't looked back.

Answer:
i do otr flatbed work now. i get home every 4 to 5 days and sometimes in between runs during dispatch. jobs good, pay good. keeps be busy and motivated to stay in shape. f-ing with tarps, straps, climbing --- ok no big deal ! just do it and move on.

Answer:
All truckin all the time.

Answer:

Too bad all my crying along with the crying of millions of other medics never got me or them a pay raise as a paramedic while saving granpa's fat lazy duff who's just a huffing and puffing on some O2 as his ole ticker pops off that last drop of blood before coming to a quivering halt and all for the paycheck of the kid down at Burger King. Yes It's Latin, a Dead Language
But what else would you expect from a "MadMan", a rubber biscuit perhaps.

Answer:
Checkout your potential job for yourself as best you can , do not base it on what you read on here.
I started the CONTAINER job I have about 2 years ago , I posted the details and got a lot of NEGATIVE replys about rail yards , ports junk equipment ecte.
I had checked things out on mu own and knew it was a DEDICATED run , no railyards / ports and was all new equipment and posted this at the start , most replys were the posters feelings about CONTAINERS and nothing to do about the FACTS I posted.
There is alot of basic INFO on here that is worth retaining.

Answer:

Yeah it is because I'd say it beats trucking. Trucking is at the very bottom. The only way trucking beats BK is in gross money. Hell if you peons could be on any crappy job for 150 hours a week to see $200. more, you would think you hit the lottery by looking at the gross, nothing else would matter. You wouldn't even want any benefits I bet.Whoa is me. Yup, put the brakes on the trucking crapola and haven't looked back.

Answer:

Can Man, O\Os in my area have to give up 25.00 per container not to go into the port for pick up.
By giving up the 25 bucks the co. will have the load waiting in the yard for pick up.
Another co. rip-off?
I think so.
Big

Answer:
BIG I do not go to ports / railyards , I pull specialized containers from 1 plant to another and back.
My company does not RIP me off , $1.21 / mile average , Fuel capped at $1.49 / gallon , full benefit package for $40.00 / month , 10 paid holidays + 2 weeks vacation every year.
