Question:
I have a couple of questions right now and I was wondering if anyone could answer them for me. First off are there any trucking jobs for a 19 year old in Visalia/Fresno California, and are there any grants/scholarships for technical schools (i.e. Trucking Schools) if so which ones. Will any companies give me a letter of intent to hire at my age as well. Please help me, all of you that can at least. Thank You very much guys and gals .

Don't know about jobs in Fresno, but at 19 you'll have to drive intrastate; unless they changed the rule you have to be 21, and a lot of companies prefer 23, to run interstate. Some Jr. Colleges have training programs, and some states will pay up to $2K-$3K for job training, last I heard. Get out and ask the companies in your area if they will hire recent school grads. You should avoid OTR anyway, it's been going downhill for years and will keep going downhill.
