Graduated
Question:
yesterday from Central Voc Tech @ Drumright , Ok. Tired but glad I have finished that part of the journey, now to find a job! applied to Stevens in Dallas & CRST in OKC, going to send out info packs to several others over the week end. Now the real adventure starts! I have spent up to 2 weeks @ a time living on the road in my own 1 Ton van so that part is no mystery. I actually had a good time @ school. Weighted average scores 93.4 % not the best, but passing anyway.

Answer:
You mean your school doesn't help with job placement?
Answer:
Yes the school does help w/placement, I decided to wait to get all my "Ducks" lined up(paper work, etc) I obviously have internet access & I do have 2 phone lines & a FAX, no problem ! I have made up several info packets for prospective employers to mail out or FAX. Not really worried about it.

Answer:
Since you're not 'perfect', that means that you don't know 'everything' and you're 'trainable'.
Keep the good attitude and be willing and able to 'learn', you'll make a good driver!
Don't let the 'naysayers' get to ya! Like every other job in the world, trucking has it's good and bad points.
It's how you deal with them that makes the difference!

Answer:
Keep something in mind. Many companies have time limits on when you are considered hirable. Some of these are as little as 30 days.
