Well, it's official. I start the 7 week CDL course on Jan. 6th at Houston Community College(PTDI certified). Has anyone attended this school?
Went down to Houston today to register and pay my tuition. I guess I'm a rare breed....I told them I've never had any felonies or misdimeanors, no DUI/DWI's, have a spotless driving record for the last 5 years, and can pass a drug test. They acted like they've never heard of such a thing, LOL. He kept asking things like, "have you studied for your drug test"? Are there a lot of drug addicts going into the industry or something? Guess I won't have any problems finding a job.
I wish I could start sooner, but I have to have hernia surgery in about 38 hours Need to heal for a while, and might as well wait until after the holidays.

Both the schools as well as recruiters have pretty much seen it all. There are plenty of stupid people out there who screw up their lives in one way or another than then try to make a fresh start either not realizing that their past will follow them or hoping they can sneak through.

BTW, keep this in mind: the people who post here are the smatest 1/4 of the industry. Most of the rest couldn't even figure out how a toothbrush works, much less a computer. Sad, isn't it??
