Well it is that time of year. The build up to X mass. We should all be seeing maximum miles now. This is the time of the year that we run hard. Yet legal.
How is it going? Are we seeing the build up yet?
The trucking industry is one of the first to see the build up. We have kind of been at a capacity issue. No real surges. We should be seeing a build up. Better miles and more loads.

You know the economy it going rather well when the T/S are full at night.
I took off 17 months over a year ago, When I came back, I noticed more truck parking spaces at night all over the country. Within several months after 9/11/01 trucking was rather slow around the country. Now try finding truck parking on the I-65 corridor at night. Truckers are parked on the ramps. I-65 is one of the heavy truck corridors. There are other heavy truck routes around the country as well.
Transportation is a key indicator on how the economy is doing. If trucks are rolling, T/S's and rest areas are full at night, things are going well.

Answer:
We have so much freight, we're brokering a lot of it out. Dispatch spends serious time answering calls for trucks that we can't fill. The fax machine seems to bring in more and more offers of loads.
I hope we don't build up for Christmas. I don't know how we'd handle it.
