Answer:
hahaha Like I told you on the phone....
If you think the mountain in Kingman,Az & I-68 in Maryland & that Las Vegas, mountain are something....you're going to be in for a BIG surprise when you hit some of the other mountains on the West Coast. hahaha

Answer:
Donner Pass is only about 45 miles of downgrade when you're going west bound.
Parley (just east of SLC) can be a pain if you're loaded heavy.
When you get into the mountainous areas, keep your CB on so you can hear about road conditions, wrecks, weather conditions, etc.........
Road conditions and weather can change in a heartbeat in some areas like Elk Mountain or Donner Pass.

Answer:
There are many more for you to see. Take it one day at a time and enjoy some of the scenery.

Answer:
At least you made the 28 days better than some!

Answer:
Glad to hear that you had a positive experience with training. All in all I have had the same experience that you have. The news that the contracts have been shortened to 6 mons was good as well as the detention pay that began July 28th. The upcoming bonus's are not half bad either. They have much freight to move and need people to move it.... Looks like they are really trying to retain reliable drivers. Dispatch has been polite and personable for the most part but the thing to know about them is they can only do so much for the drivers from behind the phone and qualcom screens. The more you learn to do for yourself the further ahead you will be. Keep in touch hope to see you in OK City soon..... give me a call on my cell I'd like to chat.... t.g.
Answer:
Hehe, West Virginia is cake compared to what you'll be experiencing, although drivers seem to talk to me non-stop about Route 20 when they discover what state I'm from . I've had drivers in California say "I remember Route 20 in WV: what a trip!"
As for the mountains, I love Vail . We hauled cans from Denver to Long Beach for about 6 months and it was mostly in the winter time .Follow Christian's Battle with Brain Cancer

Answer:
Is in the state of OH on SR 303 east of I-71 17% It's not very long but is steep. Just when you think you have seen it all somthing new jumps out at you.

Answer:
Oh my ...The pure joy of a winter time "cruise" through Wyoming, the breeze blowing pollution free sweet air with 50 mph + gusts , 12 foot high snowdrifts, the 60 mph+ gusts and the road being "a little greasy" as you reach the summit of Elk Mountain.

AH Yes....the treet you are in store for. LOL LOL

Answer:
How about 4th of July pass and Snoqualmie on I-90 WB??
Answer:
Alex,
Hush, I don't like that pass and I have a good reason to not like it in the winter time.
I learned from my little mistake of shifting down on that pass on icy slushy roads .
That was my first winter and I"m just glad my second winter is over with. Now it's time for my third winter.
Drive however you feel comfortable, but don't be a jackass and think the bend, curve, hill, ice, snow and rain etc. is nothing. You will find your butt toppled over, crashed, killed, burned etc.. Do I need to go on?

P.S.
Beantown.....glad you made it passed the trainer. Hopefully you and your teammate get along good.Sweet Whiskey

Answer:
Personally the one I always will remember is Mt. Eagle. Thought I knew what I was doing (1st week by myself) went down in the wrong gear. I made it down in one piece but I was pulling the truck's seat out of my butt for the next two hours. Doesn't matter where you are or how steep it is....BE CAREFUL.
