Advice on Tyson and USF Glen Moore Please
Question:
Any advice on Tyson Foods and USF Glen Moore? Any and all comments would be greatly appreciated indeed. Thanks! Answer: BTW, Welcome Aboard TruckNet. Answer: Ahhhh a search is available,I can see clearly now the rain is gone....... thanks Choclit Answer: I would look at tyson. They dont hire out of anywhere you have to live close to one of there terimanals. I was talking with one of there drivers and he seemed pretty happy. Said most of his loads were preassigned. CRAZYCRACKER Answer: Crazy: Thanks for the reply! I actually do live close to one of their terminals so thats not a problem. The thing is,between USF Glen Moore and Tyson Foods,I have yet to hear anything negative about them. But I do have to choose one of them here in the near future. Answer: i don't think tyson makes their drivers wait as long as they make outside drivers wait to load/unloadEmergency Vehicle Technician law enforcement Answer: Tyson drivers have the option of either waiting for a trailer to be loaded or getting a pre-loaded trailer. I have talked to several of them in the time I have sat at the TDC in Rogers, AR. They do have nice equipment...and the ability to buy product at a discount. They have a very good benefit program...and offer raises quicker than a lot of companies I know. There is a lot of loads that a Tyson driver will get that no one else wants...so if you drive for them ...be prepared to do a lot of multi drop loads in places that you probably won't like. Don't forget to go to a local CB Shop and have "the Chicken Channel" put on your radio....a lot of Tyson drivers use Sudebands to talk to each other. Answer: Hey Pmmmrtee Whats a sudebands? Is that different than the regular cb channels? Thanks CRAZYCRACKER Answer: Wow,thanks for the replies guys! Tyson is more and more starting to sound like my place to go when I graduate.BUT, USF Glen Moore offered me a regional run today and I'm thinking that is better than OTR with Tyson?????? Chicken Channel, lmao! You serious? Also,multi-drop loads means more pay correct? Places like,New York? Answer: Looks like a typographical error. Sideband is what he meant. Regional usually offers more home time than OTR. The"more pay"depends on what each drop pays and how long you spend making the drop. They do eat Chicken in NY. Answer: LOL Rabelam! SO, which pays more, OTR or Regional? Hometime doesn't apply to me. Answer: From a Pay issue...I would think you'd make more with Tyson than with USF Glenn. Sorry about the spelling error...it is sideband. If it were me ....just starting out....I'd go to Tyson....or even Wal - Mart..but I keep hearing they have waiting list. Tyson will be here long after Glenn is gone.. Answer: Ahhh great reply PMMM! I am now starting to lean more to tyson even though Glen Moore offered me a regional haul if I go with them. You say Glen Moore might not be around? Are they closing or something? Does that mean they don't have a lot of freight to be driven? Also,US Express or Tyson? Answer: No I don't know....but as long as America eats Chicken, Pork, Fish, Beef...you can bet dollars to a cops doughnut...that Tyson will be "Feeding Your Family Right" I see a lot more Tyson Trucks now than I did a year ago....and Tyson begs me to come back and haul thier freight...but I have better things to do han sit 12 hours at a DC... Answer: Errrr, ummmmm, 12 hours at a DC? Whats a DC and is that bad to be sitting 12 hours at a DC? Thanks again PMMM! Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
