All Condo Fleets?
Question:
Does Anyone have some sort of a list of companies that have all condo fleets and except 21 year old students? I really would rather have a condo over the road than a flat top for convenince reasons ans not to crack my 6 ft head everytime I get up?
Companys I know of so far:
FFE
Werner
Snneider after 1 year
Coventant
?.?.?.?.?.?
Anyone got anymore???

Answer:
Roehl runs both condos and midroofs. (I am 6 foot and can almost stand up straight in a mid roof)
Trans AM...all condo fleet.

Answer:
There's not that many flattops left out there - pretty much everyone has gone condo. Don't be too concerned about flatties though - I'm 6'4" and rarely get a rap to the skull in a flattie. Just takes a little extra care.

Answer:
You ain't really gotta worry too much about hitting your head, you'll only do that a couple times before you're "trained" to NOT do it again.
BTW....I'm 6'-5" and don't hit my head in my sleeper. I got a Pete with a 63" "High Top" sleeper. My head don't even touch the ceiling. My hair does.......but not my head.

Thanks Uturn2001, AZ cu hauler and Hoss, How is Trans Am are they good. I Got some info in the mail for them but, not very informative.

Answer:
All I know about TransAm is that their drivers probably complain less than any of the other major dweller carriers. They've got a nice looking fleet - not as many goodies as some of the others have, but newer, and solid looking.

Answer:
Seems to have a decent enough reputation...better than most. The equipment is well maintained..or seems to be. Also last i heard they are in the process of installing aux generater on all the OTR rigs so drivers dont have to worry about anti idling laws and stuff and can still get a good nights rest.
Currently they run a mix of Frghtliner Classics and Century Class trucks but last I heard they are going to go with either all Classics or possibly switching to KW T600's (just cant remember which for sure).

Answer:
Can you have an inverter with them you think? Also, What about passenger and pet policies?

Answer:
If you were in a truck with the Gen set you wouldnt need an inverter as these provide A/C power along with heat and AC.....otheriwse the ciggarette plug in type would not be a problem....as far as the bigger ones I have no idea.
Rider and pet polices is something you would need to check out with them as I have no idea.

Shaffer or Crete....depends if you want reefer or dry van (I'm at Shaffer in northeast regional and home every weekend).
They run all Freightliner Century Class (3 years or newer and loaded pretty nicely), and all are stand-up double bunk condos.
They have several regional and national fleets and some dedicated accounts too.
You can take any age child even baby (up to 6 years old with childs mother along too), any child 6 and over or spouse can ride with you all year and its FREE.....not like some companies charge you the stupid insurance fees !!!
You can basically have any dog or cat, also is FREE....just you sign that you will pay for any damage it does to the truck.
Hope this helps you some midnight
Hey Uturn.......did you say TA going back to T600's ???? Funny, i worked there years ago when thats all they had and switched from them to the Freightliners....oh well

Does Shaffer except new guys into the trucking world? I have seen their trucks and they seem like a good operation.

Answer:
to that effect about Trans Am .....but it was in a conversation reagrding several different companies and I honestly can not remember for sure if it was all FRTlner CLassics or the KW's they were going to be changing too.

Answer:
Actually, I talk to a recuiter the other day like you told me to. She said they are going to go over to all Automatic freightliner century and Classic LX trucks within a year. Yes, All Trans Am trucks have generators on-board!!! So many Options?.?.? Now Hope School Goes Well And I Can Sign On With One Of Good Carriers.

Answer:
i'd be more worried about finding a otr outfit that will take you at only 21 years old. Condos are nice, but lot's too be said about low branches and having a flattop or midroof. Find a good carrier, then worry about the trucks.
