Swift Accident
Question:
There was a accident Sun late afternoon on I-80 in Cheyenne Wyo. A 70 year old woman was westbound on I-80 by Cheyenne Wyo and for some reason crossed over and hit a Swift truck heading eastbound. Both truck and her car started fire and were a total loss. The woman broke her leg and the Swift driver was not hurt. Both drivers were very lucky. Did anybody hear about this accident?????? Answer: This is probably better answered by Driver J....our resident Swift PHD. Answer: Dr. J? Haven’t heard that one since my nightclub DJ days. For the most part, unless I personally meet the driver involved in the accident, I don’t get the details. The same with other Swift drivers. As big as Swift is and the number of drivers, it is unlikely that I, or another driver, would know a driver involved in an accident. If it is out of my terminal, I may get a message from the Terminal Manager, something to the effect of: watch out for POV’s crossing the medium, keep your eyes moving, look further down the road, etc. For whatever reason (most likely, legal) Swift does not pass on accident details to its drivers. All we ever get is things like, watch out for low bridges, slow down before the curves, don’t tailgate, don’t drive if tired, etc. My previous employer sent out the same messages. -Doctor J. nah, doesn’t work. -JHappy Dwellers Society Company Driver Division Answer: Sure it does; for Julius Erving. It was always a pleasure to watch the good doctor operate. http://www.nba.com/history/players/erving_summary.html Answer: There was a accident Sun late afternoon on I-80 in Cheyenne Wyo. I bet Mike Starnes wouldnt mind framing that pic seeing a burnt out Swifty hoked to an unscathed M.S. trailer... Answer: Fiberglass cab / steel trailer. Notice the steel exhaust stack is still standing. -JHappy Dwellers Society Company Driver Division Answer: When you said Swift accident, I thought you must have mistaken. Then the thought of looking at one of their body shops in Greer, SC came to mind. That place looks like a junkyard for Freightliners. I have never seen so many tore up trucks in all my life. This is USAF 2T2 and I approve this message. Answer: JoelG1967 Thanks for the pictures on that accident. A friend of mine was at the accident and he stated that it was not pretty and that the 70 year old woman was real lucky to be alive Answer: Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
