Purdy Bros., Van Wyk, Arnold Trans.....???
Question:
am going to drive regional......seemed to have narrowed choices from what i heard to these 3 as of now..... asked in regular forum didnt get too much response, but anyone pleeeeease if you have any opinions i would love to hear it thanks, will try not to be a pain in repeatedly asking this question * Driving My Life Away !!!!! * Trucking for God & Family !! * All Roads Lead Me HOME !!!!! Answer: Its been awhile now, but I had a friend that drove for Purdy, here in FL. He would load up mushrooms in Zellwood, FL., then start heading south, making a few drops here and there, until he reached his final drop in Miami. From Miami, he would either deadhead back or he had the occasional backhaul. It was all night work delivering to produce houses, he had keys to all the stops in case they were closed when he arrived. He always had good things to say about the company. But this was 3 years ago and we have lost touch with each other. Answer: where is Verona Va.? I know that Purdy has a dedicated deal out of Hood Winchester and they are always looking for drivers. I can't figure out why though, they pay 19 cpm with 10 cents per diem per mile. Answer: Verona, Va exit 227 or 225 on 1-81 about 90 miles south of Winchester, Va. 20 miles south of Harrisonburg, Va. 100 north of Raonoke, Va. Right next to Staunton, Va(the home of the Statlers). Now hope this helps. Answer: thanks jim for making it known where verona is, its very easy to miss..... i sent you an email about this if you could send back anything you know. to anyone else replying still appreciate the help: also if anyone knows about howells motor freight or harris trkng. would like to know too or epes in nc..... thanks greg * Driving My Life Away !!!!! * Trucking for God & Family !! * All Roads Lead Me HOME !!!!!
