Question about Requirements.
Question:
I was wondering about the 3 year work history....Are all companies hard on this? C R England turned me down for their CDL training program because of this. I have worked this last year, the problem was it was Under the table work, no taxes...they said there were no way of proving i worked.....I can list phone #'s of the boss i worked for, Is all CDL training companies this way, or is there someone i can get my foot in the door with? I realize C R England isnt the best choice, but they had what i needed...No down payment for training.......But i can swing a small down payment...Sch looks good, not sure if they will accept me or not...... I do have jobs with taxes in the past, 2 matter of fact...Im only 21 also...[/list] Answer: If it's a company sponsored school you're looking for, there are MANY other carriers that offer that.(CRST, Swift, FFE, USX, MCT, WSE, this is just a few that I could think of off hand.) Although ALL of the carriers require a 3 yr work history, some of them will accept notorized statements from former employers or from someone who can give an account of what you were doing during that time frame. ALL Time Must be accounted for.Do NOT leave any Gaps or blank spaces on the application. Answer: It is required by law that trucking companies must verify the last 3 years of your employment history and that all time must be verified. In your situation what I would do in your case, is list yourself as either unemployed or as self employed and then get 3 letters from friends (not family) stating what you were doing during that time. Make sure the letters are signed and notorized. This should more than suffice to provide proof of what you did during that time. If you have any gaps in your employment history longer than 30 days be sure to list those and explain what you were doing. Answer: Hi there Romey:::: Stay away from CR England. You won't learn anything and they will just take your money. : Check out US Xpress. They have a school in Medway, OH and the only money you need to pay up front is $250.oo before you start. They will deduct from your check $50.oo a week for a year to pay off the school. You can call them at 1-888-936-3338 or 1-800-830-3834 or go on their web site www.xpressdrivers.com. they are a good company, give them a call and again stay away from CR England. Good luck. Answer: Thank you all for the help, So this shouldnt stop me from becoming a truck driver...Thats great news to me. I have one more question though. Excuse my being dumb here. But, what exactly do i need for the "notorized" signed letter.....Just so i dont get any hazzle.....Im calling Sch monday, ive heard they have a great school. Good idea? What are my chances of them excepting a signed letter? 250 Down payment is alittle steep, but i might can swing it if all else fails.....Ive also heard Us Express is a great company. Ive heard bad stories about Swift, but im willing to try them if all else fails... Answer: Something like this should work: Answer: "Notorized signed letter" means the document had been signed and stamped by a notary public, a licensed public official, who charges for their services. It's a means of authenticatin a document. BOL Answer: It also means that you and the person who wrote it will have to take the trip down to the Notary Public's office. Answer: Only the person who needs to sign the letter (the person who wrote it) will need to visit the notoray in this case. Just make sure they do not sign it before having it notorized or it will be invalid. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
