Question:
Are black trucks hotter then white trucks in the summer?

Answer:
All we have ever had is red, and more red!!! Oh there was that fiasco with the company that has green trucks...

Answer:
That's a good question. We know the color black retains heat. You don't want to be wearing black clothing out in the desert that's for sure.
If I lived out in AZ, I wouldn't buy black, I'd buy white, nor would I buy a sunroof. Glass is like a heat generator.
Some other points.
I ran both a condo and a mid roof, the mid roof stayed a lot cooler out in AZ. The sleeper glass in a condo, lets a lot of heat in when parked. You can feel the heat coming in, you cannot touch the glass for any length of time.
I used to sleep a lot during the day and ran at night. Heavy duty sunshades today are much better. They now make them for all your windows including the side windows. Add a full after market curtain for the front if your truck doesn't come with one. You can leave the sleeper curtain open for better a/c flow front to back. Your truck will stay noticeably cooler. The curtain adds more security while parked too.
The color white serves another positive purpose. I'm going to let you figure it out. I'll give you a hint. A great deal of money and time has been spent on the scientific research and study of colors.

Answer:
Well the auto makers claim that black cars
are not hotter than white. I have found that in reality black is hotter. I believe that because white doesn't absorb sun rays and reflects them it's cooler. White is also easier to keep clean and doesn't show dust or road salt.
