USA TRUCK COMPANY
Question:
Anyone got any info on USA Trucking company, Answer: I start training Monday morning at Houston Community College for USA-Truck. After 3 weeks here I'll go to Van Buren for orientation and then to go out with a trainer. I also have a copy of their last annual report. 800-237-4642 is their recruiting number. Talk to Bob Daley or Tammy if you call. Answer: My hubby use to work for them for 1 year.He only quit because I was pregnant and he wanted more home time.At that time you had to stay out 3 weeks at a time(he quit in 2003).He recently talked to a recruiter there who says you have to stay out 2 weeks now(not bad).Hubby liked the company pretty well. Some of the drivers he ran into said they had a hard time getting home when they wanted to.Some said they had been out for 6 weeks, however,my hubby never had that problem. He had a really good dispatcher(if you wanna know his name to maybe request him,pm me and I'll get it to you).He got good miles from them and had no major complaints.Good luck!! Answer: Every now and again I have to bring this thread link back for those who ask about USA Truck. http://roundtable.truck.net/viewtopic.php?t=30640&highlight= Click the link and read away skyraider----make what you want of it.It's apparent this place is never going to change....then again; why should it? It gets the clientel it deserves. Bette Midler Answer: Your story is very unfortunate and does "stink".While I agree that the hiring company should check you totally out BEFORE sending you over there,USA TRUCK is not the only guilty one of that. The company my husband is with now apparently doesnt check things out before hand either,as they sent people home for similar things when they arrived for orientation. We dont understand why they would waste the money on bus tickets for guys and not check them out first.Seems ridiculous and a waste of time for the driver who's hoping to have a job.Everybody has "something" to say about every company. The way I look at it is,unless you have personally experienced a problem with a certain company, dont necessarily take that company to be bad.As I said in my previous post,my hubby had good luck with USA TRUCK.However,a couple companies ago, didnt work out for hubby and there are drivers on trucknet who work at that particular company and dont have problems with them.Take this for what it's worth.Good luck Answer: paisley; you keep saying your husband liked USA Truck, and had no problems with them And he got good miles and had no complaints at all And he liked the place so much he still keeps in contact with them from time to time And (oh my God! ) he even got along good with his dispatcher So tell me please; I must admit I a little confused here; why did'nt he just take a paternity leave for a spell and then return to the company he so loved greatly?!?!? If they were all that and a bag of chips for him---don't you think he could have talked his "really good dispatcher" into more home time---then he would'nt have had to leave at all. Right? No---I think something is a little fishy about your "Hubby Story"...not calling you a liar; just saying something smells. Yeh? Why did'nt he go back? Be honest. It's apparent this place is never going to change....then again; why should it? It gets the clientel it deserves. Bette Midler Answer: I dont think USA's incompetence ends with recruiting. Here's what a couple drivers had to say about them. http://idodac.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=246 Answer: Only thing I know about them is what I was told by the employment "officer" at my driving school. They were about 3/4 of a step above Dick Simon back then who was considered the bottom of the barrell as far as trucking goes. For those of you who do not know of SImon (before they were bought out and became Central Refriderated) they were known as the take anyone carrier. If you had a pulse and a CDL they would hire you. Answer: White dog Of course you're not going to believe my "hubby story".You had a bad experience with them.Sorry to disappoint you,but my husband DIDNT have a bad experience with them. Why didnt he take a "paternity leave"? Well, lets see,I dont know your money situation and you dont know ours,we didnt have the money for him to sit at home without a job.Not everybody does. Why didnt he go back with usa truck? Good question.I dont know.I told him he should myself.Because it IS the truth. He did have a decent job there.Because sometimes he does things that dont make sense. For you to think Im a liar because of your experience(and the fact that usa truck cannot possibly be any good)isnt fair.Thats the problem with people on here.Everybodys a liar.Cant possibly believe that one person could be telling the truth just because your experience was bad.A driver needed input, you gave your opinion,I gave mine. What he chooses to do,is his own business. You have your opinions on that company and I have mine, but dont think Im a liar just because I have a different opinion. If everybody in the world thought the same way,the world would really sux Oh, and have a wonderful day Answer: I did'nt call you a liar I said: in fact I said I was not calling you a liar Lighten up.It's apparent this place is never going to change....then again; why should it? It gets the clientel it deserves. Bette Midler Answer: Hey White Dog : Did you have any bad storms up your way the last few days? Also remember that Iowa had some bad tornadoes a few weeks back. Any damage in your area? Codger"Stop holding me back. I'm going to clown college." Homer Simpson Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
