Answer:
Good luck Bean Town, be safe out there!
Catch you on the flip!

Answer:
I gotta say that is AWESOME... Most people out of school want the big shiny truck and the easy loads right away... but all they do is end up looking good making those U-Turns trying to find their way out of the city cause they can't read a map or needed to find a short cut cause they didn't plan their trip ahead of time.
Answer:
If you have a laptop computer getting to the doorstep of point b from anywhere has become very easy. Give me a valid address and my GPS (at a cost of under $150) will give me step-by-step directions.

Answer:
Also because traffic has it blocked and they have to go past to get there or maybe even it's because construction has the whole road a mess or some one decided to put up a median so you can't turn. Maybe your unlucky enough to be in Jersey and just cant make a left. lots of reasons for U-turns. I've been know to do what looks like crazy things to keep from going the wrong way because something made it impossible to go where I needed to. I would sooner do a u-turn than get stuck on some road a big truck shouldn't be on. it's one of my biggest fears, ending up on some side street and being unable to do anything except go straight.
Any way, good job Bean Town and you have the right attitude. Trucking sure isn't a game.

Answer:
I know if a driver from Shaw is caught or called in for doing Uturns. They will be in big trouble, more like FIRED. Always find yourself a big lot if you do happen to get turned around. No matter if you use a atlas, mapquest or any other system, you WILL get turned around.
It will and don't think it won't happen. Now if you want a expample I will give one for free. Don't expect the next word of advice to be free, lmaoo.
Here it is, my lovely trip to Philly was anything but lovely. I was 4 miles from my exit and as the numbers got smaller (or so I thought). I got off on another exit turned around and headed northerly bound on I95. I noticed that my notes said exit 15. I thought ok Pa is like Fla, or use to be that is. It wasn't old exit 15 that I was supposed to get off on. It was exit 15 itself. So I looked around and noticed a exit. I took it and it was the wrong wrong wrong exit to even think about taking, lmaoo. I saw myself down by the Coast Guard and Navy buildings.
I got on the radio and didn't really panic all that much (haha). Got no information, but found my turn around and found myself on the interstate. Thank goodness I knew that if I went east I would eventually wind up back on I95. I made it there and was still a hour ahead of schedule.
Give yourself plenty of time, don't oversleep, don't stay up to late bsing on the radio, phone or watching tv. I gave myself plenty of time, but still got twisted up.The bad thing is, I looked it up, looked it up on the atlas. Maybe it's the blonde coming out (NO PUN NEEDED). Just remember it will happen. Be prepared and by all means laugh about it later, but learn from the mistake.

Answer:
i am just a bit curious as to why you would get fired?

Answer:
When I worked for CFI they had a "no U-TURN" policy.. All it meant was that if someone saw you making an illegal u turn and reported you. you would be hauled into Joplin and FIRED. What are the chances someone is gonna call tem with your truck number and everything... and if you really wanted to fight it all you have to do is have your lawyer ask to see the pictures of the event in question.
When I brought up making u-turn in the earlier post I was thinking of driver's going around in circles trying to find their way...
Answer:
I figure there is a no Uturn policy because it can be a hazard to other motorist. I was never explained why. I just had to go to a Ethics and Technique class. That is where they told us and sometimes I really really would like a Uturn once in a while.

Answer:
Well, it's happened.
Graduation is tomorrow morning. Short of running over our instructor with a car, there's nothing we can do for Central Tech to prevent us from getting our diplomas and moving on to whichever carriers we choose.
It's been a fun five weeks, although occasionally infuriating, and occasionally boring. (This town is just TOO SMALL for my tastes). I feel like I've actually accomplished something, even though I know that this is just the very beginning, and there's tons more to learn.
Take care out there, Bean Town. We'll leave the porch light on for you.

Answer:
Congrats.... Keep us updated on your progress. Good Luck and Be Safe out there
