going to werner
Question:
i fell like this i am a newbie and can see were ever i go the pay is the same during training from what you guys @ girls (rokki) tell me the trainers are the same i have to start somewhere fell good about werner i here it's a good training camp.i will have to do 275hrs of training before i go solo it will be one hour at time.

Answer:
You already know MY opinion of Werner, but the GOOD thing is You are NOT in a Contract with them, therefore, you are NOT obligated to them.
=============================================================
Did you get my PM about all of the trucking mags?

Answer:
Why would you go with Werner, when the US Xpress recruiter told us all about their beautiful, beautiful trucks?

Answer:
You might want to check with the other companies again...
It's true that most companies pay nothing during training,
when you get out of training Werneris still paying you nothing. See what the milage pay is with some other companies. A dirrference of .02cpm is huge over the course of a year.
Answer:

You can't base your income on only a mileage rate. You have to consider
what the mileage driven average is.
Answer:
Aggravation factor and driver support figure prominently, too. You also don't know what's going to happen. I started with a .23cpm newbie company, and as soon as I was assigned my truck, I got a dedicated and my pay jumped to .36cpm overnight! Don't limit yourself to what the starting pay is, because you never know.
Answer:
What was the compancy you started for. I can"t remember, was it US Xpress
or was it WSE?

Answer:
When I started it was with MS Carriers, they paid OTR .30 per mile
went right to dedicated after training though and was making .35cpm and $100 unload running 3-4 loads per week and unloading 3-4 trailers.
It was a family dollar dedicated, not a bad deal with 2000-2500 miles per week and $15.00 per stop, and $100 to throw stuff onto the rollers. I was taking home about $950 per week after taxes. Not bad for a rookie
After that went to Staples dedicated for $850 per week Salary, drove about 200 miles per day "NO TOUCH" home every day and weekends off.
too bad MS isn't around anymore I would still be there.
Answer:
Fatty, if I remember correctly you went with US Xpress.
As per their website the only regional drivers that get 36 cpm are those with 5 years experience.
I'm confused.
