That and .50 will get you a cup of coffee. Bean, "pre-hire" doesn't mean anything, you're either hired or you're not (and at this point, with no CDL, you're not). It's just a way for companies to keep you on a line until you get out of school, so you will tune out any other offers, and so the company will have first crack at you -- REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY HIRE YOU OR NOT. They are not obligated to give you a job at this point -- you are NOT hired. You still have to pass all the exams, work history, physical, road test, etc., just the same as if you applied with any other company.
And, all the info you gave them when they "pre-hired" you, you will give them all over again when you make your real application for employment -- as if you never even applied. "Pre-hiring" is purely a recruiting device.
