Has this ever happened to you?
Question:
Made the big mistake of calling JB to find out what kind of dedicated work he had in my area. Well after talking with a recuriter I decided that JB wasn't for me and thanked the guy for his time. Well a month goes by and I get a call from antoher JB recuriter telling me he has the prefect job for me. I told him wasn't interested and hung up. Another month goes by another recuriter, this time I tell them to take my name off of there list. 4 months go by an another recuriter, I hang up on him when I hear the word JB. Well now I am getting on average of 5-6 calls aweek from JB.
Anybody got any ideals how to stop this madness?

Answer:
When you talk to a recruiter and you fill out a card or they get your name and number they are going to bug the shxt out of you, it is there job. Most companys due it. Some recruiters are gung ho about getting a driver on and some are laid back and call once at that is it. JB has alot of turn over in the recruiting department. These guys work on about $200 a week and the rest on commision. So when one quits another gets your name.
Just like Car Salesman. Scum of the earth. No Offense.

Answer:
Giving JB your name and number is like feeding the dog from the table. You do it once and he expects it all the time. Just not a good thing to do.
Of course you think that is bad. At least YOU called them. I have never called or applied to JB Hunt and they still call me at least once a month, and sometimes once a week.
Had a JB Hunt recruiter that was hanging out at a truck stop phone in a "compliment" on my driving skills after I inquired about regional/dedicated gigs near my home (which I gave as near Effingham, IL), but refused to give my name or anything. Well he called in the compliment and the idiot and safety let slip my name and the recruiter must have done an area wide search for my name because about 2 weeks later the brouchers and calls started. Both me and my father started recieving the stuff. That was about 4 years ago now.
Answer:
Be very courteous and polite when you do the following...
Call JB and tell them you know they have your name on their list and would like to verify the information as correct.
When they get to the phone number tell them it has changed just recently. Provide them with the "new" number of a pay phone... hopefully one at a truck stop.
They may actually find recruits.

Answer:
If you wish to go through the trouble, send them a certified cease and desist letter explaining that your time is money and that any future phone calls will be billed at a rate of $200 per call.
Of course you might want to run the idea by your attorney, since I am not one, myself.

Answer:
Most JB Hunt recruiters do not work for JB Hunt. They are independants who have contracted with them and use call list. You can tell JB to take you off the list but the recruiters will still have your name. I had never called them in the past and had never received a call from them. They don't call unless you contact them. But I did make the mistake of putting in a bulk online app. and they got it. I received 4 calls from different recruiters. Once I told them where I live (out of their hiring area) they, all 4, have not called back.

Answer:
Tell them Swift fired you C R England wont hire you and Prime wont lease you a truck sure you need a job BAD
