Question:
I just checked with WSE to see if they hire drivers from WY. I was told no WSE does not hire drivers from WY. Seems alittle strange cause I see 5 or 6 WSE trucks parked at Little America every day . I've talked to some drivers and they said they do have drivers from Cheyenne.
Kind of makes you wonder!!!!

Maybe they are Not hiring in that particular area at This Particular Time.
Or, maybe they are Only hiring Experienced drvrs out of that area at this time.
This same thing goes on at other carriers when it comes to hiring out of Florida.
Try back in a mnth or so....or...try a different carrier.

Her is my take on why you see 5 or 6 WSE trucks in Little America:
When I was in truck driving school, one of our instructors was an old O/O who was teaching because a family member was going through some health problems.
He said that in some parts of the country, carriers were leary of hiring too many drivers because some states were user states and others were producer states.
I'm not familier with what Wy. produces or what they ship from there, but it could be that the WSE drivers were waiting for dispatch.
He did mention that Florida was a user state and as a producer state it was mainly fruit and vegetables.
