I know I know you must be 21 to go out of state and 21 to haul haz mat but I'm not I'm 20 I won't be 21 til the end of this year and I need a job now I have my cdl and all my endorsements minus haz mat and I live in central california does anyone know of any companies hiring in my area for people under 21, I'm not sure where to look or ask if anyone has any suggestions or advice I'm open to all of it thank you very much for all of your guys' help. Thanks.

Most dweller outfits want 23 year olds, though I don't know why.
I ain't from that area, but it's mostly corporate farms, so the obvious answer may be try the produce and food companies? UPS? Fed Ex? Might be able to get on with a small reefer outfit.Jay Gould

It's not that the companies necessarily want you to be 23, but that their insurance carriers REQUIRE it.

You can also try trash haulers, construction companies, and your City street depts, County road depts and State Hwy Depts. They all are in state jobs with good benifits and home evernight.
Also check with your local employment office. Worforce One. They have local job post also.

well hope you find something, I know how hard it is to find a job at 21. I must have put in about 20 apps and got turned down 20 times because of my age. I dont know if you can even find someone to hire you at 20 because of the whole insurance thing.
If its really something you want to do, I'd take what ever you can get and you'll have a lot more choices when you hit 23.
