Back support
Question:
What's the best driver's seat cushion or back support out there? Answer: I don't know about "THE BEST" ... but ROHO's AirHawk seat cushion is a winner for me. Too expensive for most driver's salary $150.00 at some T/S's Petro and T/A but hard to find, only a few carry it. About $180.00 from ROHO's web site. T/A also sells a gell cushion for about $40.00. I cannot comment on this one. I have the AirHawk. Here is more information on it. Check out ROHO's entire line of support seating needs. Just follow the links on the web site. http://roho.com/commercial/index.jsp Answer: vctrma, I don't know if you got my message in the message section you sent. I repost it here. I bought the AirHawk to help prevent any back problems from developing. Since I often drive 400 miles or more without stopping, I needed something to help deduce spine and tailbone pressure. I have a sensitive tailbone and long hours in the seat will cause me to experience some pain. I looked at the gel seat cushions as well as the memory foam cushions on several web sites. These are not adjustable. The memory foam is good but can get hot in warm weather. It cannot breath so it could make you sweat in the seat area on hot days, even with the A/C. The AirHawk has separated air chambers that you can adjust to your preferences and air can circulate within this seat cushion so it doesn't get hot and you will not sweat. The AirHawk is adjustable depending on the amount of air you pump into it. It comes with an air pump. It takes a few adjustments to get it to where your comfortable. It took me a couple of days to get the right adjustment for what I need. As far as disc problems, I don't know. ROHO makes a number of seat cushions for user specific applications. There are a number of memory foam cushions sold on medical supply web sites. These come in different thicknesses and configurations. Your Doctor may be able to recommend what type of seat cushion would be best for your needs. The AirHawk I have helps with pressure points in the seat area, back of your legs, tailbone, etc. I don't know if it would help with disc problems in the spine. My guess is no if your disc require more shock absorption. I hope this helps. Answer: I use a back rest from Driving Comfort $39.95. They also have the gel seats and some other more expensive ones but I have not tried them. Driving Comfort[/url] Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
