Question:
Does anyone know a community or technical college offering a truck driver training program in Florida? Answer: Check out McFatter technical center.. My husband went there about 5 yrs ago... So did CesnaPilot and a few others here. The program is 9 weeks long...Not sure about the cost nowadays, but don't think it much more than 2 grand. Excellant teachers and certified instructors... You get a State of Florida School Board Commercial Vehicle Driving certificate when finished, which is so much better than a school mill certificate. Here is the website http://www.mcfattertech.com/tc_cover.html Answer: There are three vocational schools in Fl. that offer truck driving courses. In N. Fl. one is in Starke Fl. There is one in central and s. Fl. I don`t know what cities they are in. Big Answer: There are three vocational schools in Fl. that offer truck driving courses. In N. Fl. one is in Starke Fl. If you are within range of Miami/Fort Lauderdale, then I highly reccomend McFatter technical Center, in Davie. (FLL) 1200 bucks, 9 weeks, excellent instruction, and you are on your way. I believe there is a similar program in the Melbourne area. Once you get your license...getting a job is a whole new topic!!!!! Answer: I just did a simple search using Google and came up with way to many Florida schools to try and list. Like most places their all over the State. From big to very small. While searching I would definatly look into community colleges. A liitle longer training and a whole lot less exspensive. Good luck Answer: I found a college called Central Florida Community College, in Ocala, FL. Their program can be completed in one month, but they donīt have price information. I requested a package from them. Answer: That would be the way to go. I'm sure their alot cheaper than most CDL mills Answer: Bradford/Union County have a driver training school in Starke, and I believe there's also a JC in Washington County in west Florida, but I don't know the name. BOL Answer: The technical college in NW Florida is Washington-Holmes Technical College. They have an 8 week course, the last time I checked it was around $1200.00. Answer: Palm Beach Community College went into partnership with Sage Driving School on their Lake Worth Campus..Price is about $3,000 for 3 week course. Seemed kind of expensive to me. I think Sage has a website also. Answer: Yes, PBCC is partnered up with Sage, and it is 3300 bucks. Drive an hour south to McFatter, get your school for 1200 bucks, and get a better schooling. Spend the money you save on a vacation in the Cayman Islands!! Answer: Drive an hour south to McFatter, get your school for 1200 bucks, and get a better schooling.
