Turnover Rate
Question:
How can I find out the turnover rate of a company. Is there a website, perodicals, organizations or even Links,I can use to get this information, please. Answer: I'm sure the figures are printed somewhere, maybe another member will post them. From what I've noticed, the more a company advertises, the higher their rate, i.e. Covenant Transport. The very best companies don't need to advertise at all, they have waiting list to work there. Just my 2cents.........Later, Answer: Turnover is often a dirty topic for carriers and they prefer to keep this dirty little secret to themselves. It's not something they like to circulate in public view. Many drivers are turned off by carriers who have high turnover rates. It's a red flag to many drivers, "stay away from this company". Although a high turnover rate may look bad to drivers, there are successful drivers that do work for these companies and have driven for them for many years. The pot of gold is different for some people, not everyone sees or gets the pot of gold in their personal/working life. Prime, England, Covenant, etc., have some drivers that are happy and worked for these companies for years. Will you find happiness working for these above mentioned companies? The odds are not in your favor!! Answer: Call and ask them... ----------------------------- http://www.msnusers.com/PrincessPennie/shoebox.msnw Answer: a lot of times the turnover rate represents the bottom 25% of a co. Answer: 25% of a co When I was training, it was about 25% of the newbies who made it a year - at least that's what everyone said. So it takes four hires to get one driver who'll probably stick around a while. It's discouraging how dificult an adjustment the career is for about 75% of the folks who show up at the entry-level carriers -- in a job recession, no less. A lot jump ship in training or during their first three months. But I can't blame anybody for bailing out if they didn't understand what they were getting into and how it would affect their life. The 25% percent who stick with it turn into relatively good drivers, relatively quick, I think. Just the way it looks to me, . . Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
