Question:
I'm thinking of getting into the trucking industry. I got 2 speeding tickets of about 10-15 over last May (on the same day in 2 different states!!!)on a cross country trip. I also got one in florida about a year before that. I was wondering if those are gonna be a big stumbling block for me. Also, I had a careless driving ticket in vegas about 7 years ago. Curious if that will be a problem as well.

The ticket from 7 years ago will not affect you.The 2 from last year will.Some companies won't hire a driver with 2 tickets close together, especially for speeding 10-15 over.Speeding 15+ over with a CDL is a serious offense, that jeopardizes your CDL. Many companies won't hire you, because you are a high risk for repeat behavior, or so their insurance companies would say.

You can and would still be hired by some companies. Unfortunatly the better companies will frown upon them. A drivers driving record is a very valuable assest and should be taken very good care of. It does make a big difference in the jobs and offers you'll get.
