Question:
Do new drivers have to drive all 48-states,or can we chose to be asigned the western region? I live in phoenix and would like to stay out west.

Hi, CoyoteMike. I also drive for Werner. When your training is complete and you qualify. The day you are assigned your truck you will also be given you dispatcher and where you will be driving.(regional/dedicated/48,etc). You can contact Driver assignments during or after your training and find out what is available for you. If the area that you desire has its quota of drivers, you can get on the waiting list to be contacted when a opening occurs.
I dont know what the percentage is but I would say the majority of drivers are assigned to 48 when they complete there training, as this would have the biggest demand.
