Question:
Finally got laid off my telco job earlier this month. Called the folks at ROEHL and they still had my application sitting there just waiting.
So, it was back down to the school I attended in June for a 40 hour refresher course and now it's time.
Went through the phone interview yesterday and now just waiting until Wednesday to find out the travel arrangements. They need to figure out how many other recruits are leaving this area and heading up North this week.
Supposed to be starting orientation on Feb 2nd in Marshfield. Dug out the old tube style duffle bag and it's already half packed with what I should need to survive during the training period. Amazing thing about those duffles, they hold a lot of stuff!!!!!!!!
The duffle, the laptop and books...... Yep, should be enough for a starter....
Anyway, if all goes well, I should be up in the motel in time to watch the SuperBowl Sunday.

Answer:
I will probably see you there next week then. Last week the turbo on my 'shaker went bang right after leaving the Gary terminal. They "fixed" it, but now I have so little power that I have to drop to 9th to pull an MT up a hill. I just pulled 44K from Skohegan Maine to just outside Pittsburgh, PA. I ended up dropping to 5th on some of those hills... I was going so slow that I rode the shoulder a few times in case the truck just came to a stop.
My 30mph average, and 3.1 MPG is not making operations happy so I think I will be heading to Marshfield to get it in the shop this time.
