Question:
Just want to thank you for the great reply. Thanks for the support. I figure, I have to get experience somewhere. I might as well have a job when I get out. 3 weeks in training and 4 weeks in OK City. I can't wait. My 4 year old (will be 5 on Monday) just doesn't understand. But he says, "Mommy, are you going to drive a big rig?" "That's right, honey and I will let you sit in it too." Answer: My advice would be to grab a local driving position; leaving a 5 yr old behind, you'll be missing a lot(!), not to mention what he'll be missing(!)., whether it's about a role a school play or a bruised knee. When parents, who have young children, opt for going OTR, they're leaving young ones behind who need them to be there. Being OTR, you won't be able to share nearly as much as if you were therefull time. In the end, you lose, but, not nearly as much as the children lose, tho, children are resilient enough to adjust, is that something that you want them to go through. He may be saying, "Mommy, are you going to drive a big rig?", now, but, after a couple of days of you not being there, he won't care about that "big rig", only about you. This is by no means gender bias, Dads also need to be there! Put yourself in his little shoes and see. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
