Turned down by schnider
Question:
Why, I have a great driving record, the interview went great..............my driving record is super clean.....................they told me to re sign up in a month, well in a month I will be in deeper debt.................My ole lady and my self are looking for training as well as lodgeing and food rolled into the package, any places you can think of that wont screw us over is appreciated, I think schnieder lost a great oppertunity to have dedicated drivers, what the hell is wrong with them? Answer: It’s unusual for a company that has 100% turn around to not hire someone with a clean record. What was their reason for you waiting a month?? Answer: The Great Pumpkin has turned me down 4 times now. The first two times was when I was a wanna-be such as yourself in need of training. The last two times was as an experienced driver with a totally clean record. Sometimes I think they just toss applications in the air and whatever ones land on the desk are the ones the hire and the rest go in the trash. Of course I have heard some SNI drivers say they use this approach to paying drivers for runs on a given week. --> If you are in need of training, both you and your wife, and are wanting to run teams I suggest you check out USxpress. (The only problem I have with USX is that they only use auto shift trannys and it could cause you problems later on down the road) You can also check out Crete/Schaeffer, and Millis. I am not real sure if either of the latter two hire teams but what do you have to loose. Oh there is also CRST (pretty much 100% team operations). I will always be a mutter trucker at heart. _________________ RC Universe Answer: SNI has been known to refuse drivers based on bad credit reports. Answer: Thank your lucky stars. Unless you enjoy working in a pseudo-military environment, you've missed nothing (ok, 20 minutes on a skid pad) by being detected, inspected, neglected and, ultimately, rejected (with a thanks to Arlo Guthrie) by Schneider. Answer: Schnieder is kind of trashy anymore. I've been noticing more and more of their trucks looking chewed up and spit out, and obviously occupied by a pig. Trash on the dash, dirty windows, and a generally filthy appearance. Then there are those orange cabovers; ghastly ugly. Even if they were kept spotlessly clean they'd still be hideous. Answer: There are a myriad of other companies that will train you... Paitence is the name of this game! Answer: Could this be it? I am sure they gave you a reason for not hiring you. _________________ Wood's Country Store 202 N Main Street Summerfield Il 62289 TRUCK PARKING AVAILABLE! Answer: Sometimes it is a complete mystery why you do not get accepted. Don't let it bother you. Schneider is actually pretty hard to get into. Their loss is someone elses gain. Keep applying. It is pretty much inevitable that someone will accept you. Answer: I didnt authorise a credit report, and yeah 90 day work histoy is non existent........ i did cash work far a long while, i think they think its ******** or something...............man they just rubed me the wrong way.......... Answer: You may have given permission to check your credit when you signed the application. More and more application has a little clause in the fine print right above where you sign it that states that your credit history and background may be checked. I wish these companies would get off the kick of checking credit reports on employees. They have no business in knowing your credit history. One of these days these companies won't be able to hire anyone because no one will be able to pass their pre employment requirements. It's the insurance companies and lawyers that runs this country these days. The truth will always prevail. Answer: I didnt authorise a credit report, and yeah 90 day work histoy is non existent........ i did cash work far a long while, i think they think its ******** or something...............man they just rubed me the wrong way.......... They rubbed you the wrong way? Non existent work history could mean Prison Time. Worked for Cash? Does show a lack of Honesty. Gee,why won't they hire you. Mike _________________ Mike Answer: What is this “non existent work history?” And only 90 days I worked at Boeing Aircraft for 20 years and went through 3 layoffs. Some lasted a year, one lasted almost 2 years. During those layoffs I worked odd jobs, but spent some time on unemployment when I couldn’t find work. I have gaps longer than 90 days I cannot account for over my 27 year work history, except I was laid off and looking for work and I never had problems with employers including Schneider when it came to being hired. I just finished 4 years of collage and I’m having trouble finding work in my chosen field (I will wind something soon) and I have 3 months I cannot account for except I was looking for work. Soo could you not have said you just took time off for the 90 day period?? Answer: Hey if you are in the chicago area your in luck. Roehl Transport has a training course. Its does cost money for the school and hotel. But with a little luck they can help you with that. The course I here is longer than Schneiders. I went to Schneider. I teamed there and did dedicated solo. They did keep teh sheels rolling so much that I forgot where I lived. But hey thaqts why I got in the business in the first place. But I quit. I worked 14 days straight for 23 cpm. It never added up to teh expense I paid to eat and pay bills back home. On top of that they give you a Schneider prison number that you must remember so when you call in your load info they know who you are. What a company. I wonder does Schneider pre plan your trip yet. Like HEARTLAND and other companies do. Bob Hopper Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
