are there any companies out there that take newbies and train them, for the end dump. every ad i see says experience only . Answer: There are a few but very few long haul end dump companies. Most are local. Not knowing where your at it might be a little hard to tell you about available jobs. 'Carpe Diem' does not mean 'fish of the day'. I do end dumps right now and may know of some companies that might hire you on without experience. When we were in Pittsburgh there was another company called U.S. Bulk that was up there with us. Answer: I will be going to school but contracting with CRST. I hear so many bad things about contracting and giving yourself up to contracts but in my case I don't have a choice. They won't hire me because of conflict of interest since I work for the company that they contract through. The company is CTS thats really all I know if you live in central ohio just go to 1006 walnut st in canal winchester, Ohio. Just go to the end to the Waste Management building go into the main doors and tell them you want to fill and app. for cts and they will tell you what to do. Take it with a grain of salt. Generally these are people that come into trucking looking for easy money. Do your job and that year will be gone in no-time. If things are ok then stay on dont quit the minute your year is up. You need to know enough to know what a true "move up" is when changing jobs in this industry otherwise youre gonna discover the hard way that most of them are bottom feeders but by then, when the truly different and better company does come along, youre a job hopper they dont want you. Answer: I don't know of many end dump companies in Louisiana. I know this sounds stupid but go around to job sites and landfills and see who comes in and out of there. If they are in your area, then give them a call.
