So you don't like the term "Newbie". Get ove
Question:
So you don't like the term "Newbie".
Then you should have heard the things they called us years ago when we started driving!!!

"Newbie" would have made me happy.
Remember, they call you a "Newbie" to be nice you "Little Green Horns"!!
Old Drivers don't have time to change diapers of sissy "Newbies"! We see “Newbies” i.e. “Little Green Horns” come and go everyday! If you can’t make the first grade of being an inexperienced driver. You’ll never make it when you hit your first snow storm or road hazard, or a mouthy receiver on a grocery store dock!
Trucking isn't for sissies! So get over yourself! -->

Trucking isn't for sissies! Big guys, little guys, strong guys, weak guy, gays, leasbians, all sorts of women and men drive trucks. Could you please explain exactly who trucking is for.
Some comments are just to stupid to make sense.

I haven't a clue why you think sexual ornamentation has anything to do with!

Now could you please explain whom trucking is for. Maybe you could define the word sissy.

I don't have a problem being called "Newbie" been called a lot things in my 20 years of service. I have been the "newbie" at many things and accepted it. I will again. and I will be the first to admit I have a lot to learn. thats why I come here and read as many of these threads as I can. on all the forums. Ive been researching trucking companies and studying for my CDL for over a year. not that means much to anybody, but I like to be as well prepared as possible when I go to school and be as informed as I can when I applying for a job. I just don't want to be classified as a "fresh out of school self proclaimed know-it-all" that is not the image im trying to portray. I have pretty tough skin, I just wanna learn all I can and do the best job I can. And I appreciate all the good advice Ive gotten from you expierienced guys and girls. whether it was solicited or just somthing I read in another thread. Thanks again for the help and Im sure its not an easy road. But I will do my best.

FNG"" is much better. Newbie has a sort of sissy ring to it. Kind of like Volvo.
Volvos are for sissies.

Answer:
Why do truck drivers think they are so tough anyways? Its not like driving a truck requires any kind of physical strength. The trucks might be big thats all. ( well some of the drivers are big too ) Must be because of the ability to hide behind a cb, or in this case a computer and act tough. Could be the image, kinda like Marines are all supposed to be tough as nails, when in reality, all of us that were in the corps know there are alot of candy-azz's in too.

Answer:
Why do truck drivers think they are so tough anyways? It's an intelligence thing. I've seen drivers wearing T'shirts that say "Trucking isn't for Sissies". At-least one of the drivers could've taken me out back and whopped me because he was big enough. But, my dogs act smarter than any of them. Actually almost anything has a larger brain capacity than these guys do. Alot of drivers fall into the not so smart super trucker catagory.
Unfortunatly a lot of Billy Big Riggers have a simular attitude. It's like drinking beer, truck driving and a big CB makes them tough. The longer they drive the tougher they get. Nothing will make them smart. You'll find both male and female supertruckers that know it all and act important. Probably one of the bigger problems in trucking, idiots behind the wheel.

Sissies always act tough!
That is why we have to hear those dumb sounding radios, listen to those stupid stories and put up with drivers that pull out in front of you and pee on parking lots!

You both stated in another thread, your dislike for the term 'Newbie". You feel that some of us experienced drivers look down upon you for that reason. I don't! That just happens to be the title of this particular forum.
Maybe you should ask Retread to rename this forum more to your liking.
In the mean time, enjoy reading the posts and asking questions. If someone does reply with a smart a$$ed answer, so what. Just overlook it and move to the next one.
