I have been in the auto body busines for 18 years and very tired of dealing with ins companys.I have traveled all over the US and Canada and love to drive.My driving record is clean other than 2 dui's one on Sept 3 1991 the other Feb 5 1999.In AZ a dui is a misdemeanor that means 2 on my record but i am Canadian with a resident alian card for 27 years.Will this help me get employed or will this not matter.I would really love to get into the industry i have 2 friends who are o/o in flatbed divisions and both love it.Any suggestions or am i out of luck? Give them a try. Most companies want a DUI to be at least 10 years old

um...probably none of my business and i'm not trying to harp on you about the past but you have to understand that 2 dui's makes you look like you like to drink and drive and be irresponsible. i wouldn't blame a carrier for not hiring you. i also would think that you would need high risk insurance and that would be a logistical problem for them. your best bet would probably be with swift. they have a terminal on 75th Avenue and Lower Buckeye. good luck in whatever you do.

I can understand someone making a mistake once in there life and driving impaired, but twice???
I wouldn't want you driving a car never mind a tractor trailer. You have demonstrated that you can’t control your alcohol, so why should a company trust you do drive for them.
Anyone with 2 or three impaired charges, and yes I believe I have seen some on here with 3 charges need to get their act together.
