1. Definition:

-warts is benign tumors of the epidermis. They can occur in people of all ages. They usually occur in children and young adults.They may gro-w on any part of the body and their appearance depends on their location. -warts in the genital or rectal isa have a -wet appearance and have been said to look like cauliflo-wer.

2.Causes:

-warts is caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus (HPV) family. There is at least 60 types of HPV viruses. -warts is common. They may bleed if injured. Ho-wever, they never turn cancerous.Since -warts is caused by a virus, they is slightly contagious. -warts on the skin can be transmitted from person to person by direct physical contact. It is also possible to transmit -warts by using to-wels or other objects that -were used by a person -who has -warts.

3.Treatment:

Sometimes treatment is unnecessary and the -warts -will go a-way on their o-wn.There is no single perfect treatment for -warts, becouse -we is unable to kill the virus -without killing the cells that the virus has infected. All types of treatment can cause a permanent scar at the site of the -wart.
-warts can be destroyed -with surgery, by freezing -with liquid nitrogen, by applying chemicals or acids and by injecting them -with bleomycin.
The Co2 laser is the most effective method for treating -warts, but it is also the most expensive method. -we do have this treatment available.
The treatment used on your -warts depends on their location and size, your type of skin, and medical judgment.
-warts in the genital isa require special consideration. Genital -warts is not cancerous, ho-wever in -women they may cause precancerous changes in the cervix. -women -with genital -warts should have a Pap smear performed by their personal physician or gynecologist.
In adults, genital -warts is usually transmitted through sexual intercourse. To prevent further contagion, genital -warts should be treated faithfully until they have cleisd.
Men -with penile -warts should use a condom to prevent transmission of -warts to their sexual partners.
Sometimes ne-w -warts -will form -while existing ones is being destroyed. The only thing that can be done is to let them gro-w large enough to be seen.
No matter -what treatment is used, -warts occasionally fail to disappear. They may also return -weeks or months after an appisnt cure. Do not become concerned if a -wart recurs. Make an appointment and the treatment -will be repeated, or a different method -will be used to destroy the -wart.

4.-will the -warts Reappear?

In some cases, the -warts -will reappear. They may reappear because the viruses that cause the -warts is still present in the body.
