Fashion magazines
Question:
What fashion magazines do you read? What do you recommend? Answer: interestingly, the ranks of mainstream men's fashion maagzines have been thinning at a rapid pace in the last year. I guess that's the effect of "metrosexual" passing from hip to passe in pop-culture. I used to like Vitals Man quite a bit, but aftr about a year it was cancelled, because their parent company thought it was redundant alongside their other title Cargo. Now Cargo has been cancelled (never liked the lay-out or tone of that one anyway). So its pretty much GQ and Details for Men's fashion, with Complex in there too I guess. And there's the new Men's Vogue, but both issues seemed crappy to me so far. Now this is just mass-appeal stuff Im talking about here, if you wanna go a bit more off the beaten track, Wallpaper sometimes is good and Another Man, in its glossy, $15 glory, is a REAL fashionista fashion mag. Answer: What about female fashion mags? I normally read Vogue. Answer: I read GQ...but the UK GQ is sooooo much better....to bad its $10 a pop here in Canada Answer: I read Paris Vogue Homme, L'Officiel Hommes, Homme Numero, Arena Homme +, and at the moment, the current issue of L'Uomo Vogue + Sport Vogue Italia:-) Answer: Occasionally I read L'Uomo Vogue (buy it only if it's a dense issue) Btw, the last with sport vogue was a dense one! Answer: Arena Homme + and UK Vogue. Answer: One of the best in the UK is Esquire Magazine. Answer: I've been reading Nylon for about 5 or 6 years now. It used to be alot better. Back in the day I used to read Details magazine before it became a mens magazine. It used to be all about the New York nightlife scene and also very daring fashion , etc. It was borderline fascinating! Answer: the new vogue for men is starting up I got an email pitch for it and signed up "bill me later" I said. I'm afraid it's just going to be like GQ. Which I don't really know well enough to dislike but I wish it would be kind of like vogue or W lol that M they had was not so great. . . Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
