Question:
Daughter wants one for full bed when she goes to college. I have read that there are different thicknesses and different density (5 lbs is great and some are 3 lbs). Overstock.com has some 2 inch, 3 lb density for like $80. Target has the 3 lb 1.5 inch one for like $55. $65 to $80 seems good. Any hints or places to get them? Mattress topper ought to fit under the fitted sheet, or do I need a separate cover for it?

I got the memory foam 3" one from overstock, they also have free shipping now. You could also check domestications.com i think they also have the down and fiberfill ones as well. you might want to look at getting deep pocket sheets so that the topper fits underneath without the need for getting an additional cover or sheet to go over it.

My grandmother just gave me a 2 inch memory foam mattress topper for my bed and I ended up packing it back up and exchanging it for an electric razor. It made the bed a bit more comfy, but possibly hurt my neck and surely wasn't worth the $150 she paid.

i have/had (back in the usa) a WONDERFUL memory foam mattress pad, one of the most wonderful presents i have ever got from overstock.com. it was almost a year ago they had a great sale. i don't remember how thick it is. i would guess 2 or 3 inches, but i don't remember. but it is awesome. i sustained a terrible back injury and this memory foam thing was really good. especially good on subpar mattresses, but on a good mattress it is an extra little luxury.
