Children of Men, the film
Question:
I saw it tonight. Liked it a lot. Great characters who continue to surprise--such a gift in a dystopia/apocalypitc pic. It almost never strained credulity, and it took me into its world in a really convincing way. Really great filmmaking. Answer: So glad you people on the other side of the pond have finally got this great film. V convincing and thought-provoking. Cuaron is an impressive director, I think. Answer: This looks like a great movie! Haven't seen it yet, but planning to. Answer: Originally Posted by DustB I saw it tonight. Liked it a lot. Really great filmmaking. agreed. I saw it last night as well. I was blown away. Answer: I am amazed by Cuaron's versatility. Children Of Men was easily one of the most shocking, vivid, stunning and mind-boggling movie I have seen in recent years; I could not sleep the night after watching it. I read a couple of articles on how he and his team created the visuals and just the technicalities were riveting. I am not sure whether Volver or Children Of Men is my favourite movie of the year, but I guess I should consider myself lucky that in these days or interchangeable mediocrity and blandness I have two favourite year-end movies. Answer: What gets me more and more are those pieces of virtuoso film-making that make it seem like live action: the single takes of the bomb blast opening, the car attack and the army / Beirut style finale (even if the eventual escape is the one bit of wtf? in the film...). Truly impressive direction. And stylistically masterful. p.s. Pull my finger. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
