Name your local grocery stores!
Question:
I was kind of bored so i came up with this truly compelling and thought-provoking thread... My local grocery stores here in central Florida are Publix, Albertson's, Wynn-Dixie, and Piggly Wiggly (i think only one store in this area). Food Lion has a couple stores also. Yours? Answer: Food City, Wal-Mart, IGA, Velocity Answer: Originally Posted by Thrax Wal-Mart wow WAL-MART? No way! Answer: Hy-Vee and Hen House are probably the biggest chains in the Kansas City area. Answer: Originally Posted by knightowl wow WAL-MART? No way! Where I live Wal-Mart is like the mall. OR more like the Las Vegas strip. If you want cheap stuff thats where you go. Groceries, clothes, guns, knives, fragrances, make-up, toys, televisions, video games, cel-phones, arts, crafts, SUBWAY sandwichs (the restaraunt is in wal-mart), baked goods, office supplies, furniture. It's just amazing how much they can fit inside 1 building. Though it is a big ass building... Answer: It is dominated by 2 supermarket chains here namely: Park n Shop and Welcome. For specialties, delicatessen, imports there are 2 to choose from: City Super OR Great Answer: Safeway, Extra Foods, IGA, and The Great Canadian Superstore Now... Wasn't that a laugh riot??? Answer: I have Safeway and Whole Foods near me, another Safeway a little further away, and there are Giant company stores scattered around town too. There are also some very small chains of "Yes! Natural Foods" and "M.O.M.," or "My Organic Market," around. Safeway and Whole Foods get most of my food purchase dollars. --Chris Answer: Kroger, Publix, Food Depot, Whole Foods, Wal-Mart, Valu Food Used to have an Ingles and a Winn-Dixie. The Food Depot got the Winn-Dixie spot, the Ingles front is empty. There are at least four international markets in town that I go to occasionally. Answer: Alepa and K-market here.
