Shower time?
Question:
I think I saw a thread about this way back when, but I thought I'd ask again.
When do you take your shower? AM? PM? Both?
There have been a few threads lately that made me self-conscious; I shower at night when I get home from work (I get filthy at work, there's no way I could wait until morning).
I mean, you're going out, going to bed, having intimate moments- isn't that the time when you'd most want to be clean?
I don't know how dirty I could get in the few hours after my shower, but lately I've been reconsidering.
Input?

Answer:
I take two a day usually. I can't wake up and go through my day without a shower. I just need it to make me feel less self concious and it gives me a better feeling. I feel more awake/alive. I don't need it to wake me up though. I am a morning person so I am up early and doing things.
I usually play a sport or do something active outside and I get sweaty. I will usually take a shower afterwards just to get clean again. I don't like to sit around in sweat and stink up a room. I will take one even if I am just going to sit around and do some homework or study. If I am going out then I will almost always take a shower right before I do so. I like to be very clean and smelling nice for a nice occasion. Even if I am just hanging with my friends and bumming around I will shower. I don't like to be dirty and it is even worse when I think I am dirty.
2 a day max but sometimes one is ok too...

Answer:
I shower when I get up and later on if I need to. If you just shower after work, that's probably not enough. When you sleep, you're laying in one spot for 6-8 hours, possibly sweating without realizing it. A real quick shower in the morning will help you freshen up.

Answer:
My skin is very oily, so I need a shower as soon as I get up in the morning, for that as well as to wake up. Otherwise I don't shower until the next morning unless I get especially sweaty during the day.

Answer:
A morning shower is an absolute must for me on working days, summer and winter, and it's the pefect wake up as well as the perfect prep for shaving. And in summer, when I have sweated all day, and at other times when I am going out, I usually have an evening shower too. A little more relaxed on weekends when I usually shower before going out. I agree about wanting to be clean for intimate moments. In any case, I would rather be asleep feeling clean rather than feeling sweaty and dirty. The only proviso being showers, especially hot showers, tend to try the skin so I make sure I use a non soap body wash and moisturise after, especially in winter.
Sante.

Answer:
I have to get one in the morning or I just wont wake up. If im going anywhere after 6pm, ill have another. Its not that I smell bad or im dirty in the evening, I just find a shower wakes me up and gives me energy! hahah

Answer:
Usually in the morning just before work or whatever else I have planned. After any mowing or yard work I do. I used to do the before bed shower but I felt dirty in the morning after getting dressed.

Answer:

I have 2 a day,in the morning because it`s good to feel fresh and clean ar the start of the day. Another
when I get home from work, I get really dirty at work (welding all day),And sometimes a third at the gym.

Answer:
I take them at night. My showers are usually hot and 20-30 minutes long, and that makes me sleepy. If I take them in the morning I don't find they help me wake up, but I do like the feeling. It's just that I am already late as it is (and that's because I prepare the coffemaker before going to bed) and really don't have a second to spare. Anyway I don't get dirty sleeping and when I wake up I'm not sweaty or anything. I know I don't smell so I'm not self-conscious. If I'm home all day I'll only end up taking a shower in the afternoon. I sometimes take them right before going out. In the Summer I usually take two a day to cool down.

Answer:
this has a cultural component to it. in the US the morning shower is almost universal. but i've been to quite a few other countries where a shower before bed is a given.
