Question:
that show is awful, the people rarely ever look better enough to even warrant a show in the first place after the makeover and they do pretty much the same formula on everyone. I personally think I could do a much better job. I personally think I could do a much better job. Ha! Not the one I'm watching. I mean, they take into account a person's size, shape, height, skin color, hair color, and even personality, in every episode I've seen. They recommend the right clothes for the person's body. And, to be honest, I've only seen one episode where I thought the person had not dramatically improved, both in appearance and the way they carried themselves. And again, I just love the way they challenge folks' preconceptions about looking good. So many people come into the show thinking that they are being "unique" by conforming to some group's norm. And then the hosts debunk every one of those notions. The surprising thing to me is how much it changes the individuals' perceptions of themselves. Answer: I just found out that the hosts of the show were at one of my local Macy*s this past week doing some in-store special. Answer: Originally Posted by EnvYuS I actually think I've seen that show before. It sounds so farmilliar to me. I would have to add UGG boots to that list. I think they are the most rediculous shoes/boots in the world and I wouldn't mind watching the entired world stock of UGGS burn in a huge bon fire. I think they make womens beautiful feet look like those of a platapus and it is gross!! Make them go away!! They are such a fad yet everyone claims they are comfortable and they don't wear them "just because", which may be the case for some people but I know that no girl likes how they look and they are not functional boots!! They are rediculous! Major thumbs down on those things and if I was on that show I would rant about how much I dispise those things... > ERRGGGG LOL:P Here in Norway, somewhere around 5 out of 10 of my friends wear UGG's...Along with light-blue, red, etc, Canada Goose's, really tight t-shirts, and white, embroided, and totally ripped up jeans..I don't wear UGG's, though, but I think they're quite cool... Answer: I think both Trinny and Susanna need a bit of help themselves. *Neither of them have much sartorial elegance, good looks or attractive personalities. *I hate that show and their patronising attitude towards women who for a start are much 'nicer' people than they are. *Why should anyone be expected to fit into somebody else's mould? **Answer me that huh? P.S. I've been to Norway on several occasions and it doesn't surprise me that 50% of the population there wear Uggs. Nuff said. Answer: I like the American version much better than the British one. Mostly becasue Stacy and Clinton seem to be very focused on the individual personality, body type, career, and desires of the people being made over. Answer: I've watched it occasionally (the American one), but I get annoyed with all the cuts to commercials so I don't often have the patience to sit through it. The maternity shirts, I thought, are called baby-doll dresses, or baby-doll tops (??). I have seen them do a good job on a couple of men, and I agree they should make over more men. They made over a rock musician who looked like a tribal barbarian, had some half-way biker thing going with the boots and flame shirts. He was getting older, and it was just not attractive. They cut his hair, shaved his face, gave him some smart looking clothing. He turned out so handsome! A head turner. He learned how to style his hair with product and use after shave balm. You could see that he knew he looked good. That was cute. I've noticed that they seem to give all the women the same haircut - straight and blunt cut. And they should give them money to buy fragrance. Answer: Originally Posted by sherrie11 And they should give them money to buy fragrance. I have wondered before if they would let someone get away with buying several bottles of fragrance with the $5,000. I wouldn't be able to resist were I ever on the show. They let them buy hats, scarfs, etc, so a new fragrance would complete the outfit Answer: I think skin tight jeans should be reserved for the women of the world. It makes me cringe when I see males wear pants that are 2 sizes too small. It's quite popular where I live, especially among the "punk rock" crowd. I wonder if these guys ever plan to have children. Answer: There seems to be a trend for everyone to look the same. Even though many of these people can't help but look better (the one's they pick). I am all for individuality, even if it means purple hair. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
